All three systems differ mainly in their loudspeaker systems and have a control unit which is almost similar in build as well as identical functions for energy saving.
Thanks to an energy saving switch the appeal of the HT DV series is its standby value of only 0.6 Watt. As an option a dimmer reduces the display in three different stages so that only a minimum load is generated in the energy consumption, yet all information displayed is clear to read. The digital amplifier has exceptionally high energy efficiency. The “Auto Power OFF” function provides automatic standby after 15 minutes of non-operation and prevents unnecessary energy consumption. Home cinema lovers can dim and even switch off the elegant lighting of the volume control if required. This also contributes to the low energy consumption. At Sharp, environmental protection starts in the manufacture: Even in the production stage the electronics company opts for ecological materials and sustainability. In accordance with CE- and ROHS specifications hazardous materials are avoided.
The attraction of the new 2.1 Home Cinema Systems Digital Surround amplifier is its design based on the AQUOS LCD TVs and extensive technical features. In all of them this encompasses “Audistry” Sound Technology for more scope in sound, natural bass lines and intelligent volume control, DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro logic II, Dolby Virtual Speaker Technology as well as an HDMI interface and a USB host. Both versions HT-DV50H and HT-DV40H are supplied with a 100 Watt strength 2.1 subwoofer. The systems come with 250 Watt total sine wave output . Besides the surround sound the three piano black finish systems with high-quality design are also impressive.
Besides the control unit the HT-DV50H is made up of two slim stands with three high-quality frames each with a dome tweeter and the subwoofer. The three boxes of the HT-DV40H are two front boxes and the subwoofer. Two 2-way bass reflex systems including dome tweeter are included with the third system HT-DV30H with 150 Watt total sine wave output and each box has a removal metal front grid. The HT-DV30H also has an active subwoofer output to connect to subwoofers as an option.
The control unit integrates an easy to read display incorporated into the high-quality front section. The integrated DVD drive plays all current formats – from DVD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-Audio, CD-R/RW to MP3, JPEG and DivX. The equipment also features an extensive variety of connections: two digital audio outputs, a headphone connection, a SCART-, S-Video- and Composite-Video connection, each with 1080 line HDMI- and a YUV output as well as a front USB host for connection to MP3 players and USB sticks.
Delivery includes extensive accessories such as an infrared remote control, which can also be used to operate AQUOS LCD-TVs, an HDMI cable for fast connection to the new generation of large-sized flat screen TVs as well as a USB cable for convenient connection to MP3 players.
